Last week, in the context of whether Gazans should be allowed to cross into Egypt, to get away from the war between Israel and Hamas, nominal president Joe Biden referred to the president of Egypt as the president of “Mexico.” Also last week, Special Counsel Robert Hur decided to not prosecute Biden for illegally possessing classified documents when he was a private citizen, on the grounds that Biden’s not mentally competent.
No one is surprised. Everyone knows Biden hid “in his basement” during the 2020 presidential campaign because his Obama-installed handlers knew he wasn’t hitting on all cylinders. And ever since, Biden’s been in and out of a mental fog, not knowing where he is or what he’s saying half the time.
Nevertheless, to let you know how important Biden’s “Mexico” gaffe and the reason for his “get out of jail free” card was, Republican politicians (and “conservative” online chatterboxes) immediately made a huge deal about them, saying Biden should be removed from office via the 25th amendment or by impeachment. Some of the politicians saying so were Sen’s. Tim Scott and Mike Lee, . . .
. . . Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, . . .
and Rep’s. Tom Emmer, Matt Gaetz, Thomas Massie, Steve Scalise, Byron Donalds, . . .
. . . and Elise Stefanik.
Of course, to remove Biden via the 25th amendment would require that Vice-President Kamala Harris and a majority of administration cabinet secretaries declare Biden unable to continue. Fat chance of that happening, unless Biden does a lot worse than say “Mexico” when he means “Egypt,” and they and Democrat Party big shots agree about who they’ll install as their 2024 presidential nominee.
Also, saying “Mexico” when you mean to say “Egypt” does not meet the constitution’s requirement (Article II, Section 4) of “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors” for the purpose of impeachment by the House and conviction by the Senate, the latter of which requires a two-thirds vote, which wouldn’t happen because the Senate is majority-Democrat and (though we have to vote for them in general elections if they’re the GOP’s nominees) half the Republicans there are worse than “something the cat drug in,” as we used to say in the South.
In other words, the Republicans aren’t serious about the 25th amendment or impeachment. They’re engaging in election-year posturing.
Meanwhile, loathsome Nikki Haley says literally every day that Republicans should nominate her instead of Trump because in a recent campaign event he said “Nikki Haley” when he meant to say “Nancy Pelosi.”
Haley, who can’t campaign on a conservative platform because she isn’t conservative, resorts to stuff like calling for “mental competency tests.”
Apparently, this is the test she has in mind.
Haley’s call for mental competency tests is not a one-off. She’s a control freak. She made her husband change his name. Seriously, she did. It’s detailed in this article, which also notes that in South Carolina, Haley is described as someone who converted from Hinduism to Christianity for political expediency because she is “the most ambitious person,” “willing to do whatever necessary to advance” and “willing to do whatever she needs to do and be whoever she needs to be,” because she has “an absence of core beliefs,” along with “a vengeful streak,” “consumed with retribution,” and “a reputation for demanding loyalty but rarely giving it.”
Haley says mental competency tests are necessary for Biden and Trump, because they are “two grumpy old men,” and she says Trump is 80 years old, when he is 77.
Haley knows Trump is 77, but Haley is a pathological liar. As the video in the preceding link shows, she’s so pathological, she lies when she knows that you know she’s lying and that you can prove it.
In a lie that might call into question her sanity, Haley—who’s funded by big donor Democrats and Wall St. globalists, and who’s an acolyte of the World Economic Forum—claims Trump is “surrounded by the political elite.”
In lies of a different sort, Haley is also accused of having multiple affairs behind her husband’s back. Two different men have signed sworn affidavits to that effect, and others have said the affairs were common knowledge in South Carolina.
As the saying goes, how you do anything is how you’ll do everything. In any case, here’s Haley (when she was about 40 years old), campaigning for Mitt Romney for president against Marxist Barack Obama in 2012, with Romney standing beside her, telling the crowd “Obama will strengthen our military and will never apologize for America,” then correcting herself when Romney cried “no, no, no!”
And here’s Haley only a few days ago, saying that the World Trade Centers and the Pentagon were attacked on September 10, 2001.
Obviously, Haley knows the difference between Romney and Obama, and knows that the Islamists attacked us on September 11th. Sometimes people misspeak when their mouths are running faster than their brains. But she forgives herself for her flubs, while holding the same sort of thing against Trump.
Of course, Haley isn’t serious about competency tests. She’s pandering to Never-Trumpers and “independents.” The constitution states who can be elected to the presidency, Senate, and House of Representatives, requiring tests would therefore require a constitutional amendment, and that ain’t gonna happen. Similarly, she’s not serious with her nonsense about how she would achieve “consensus” on abortion between Republicans who are pro-life and Democrats who want to kill every baby in sight.
Perhaps the reason for the Republicans making such a big deal about Biden’s “Mexico” gaffe is that they want us to forget the investigation, by the House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Accountability, of Biden’s bribes, shell accounts, and money laundering. Remember that?
A couple of months ago, the committee’s Republican members wanted us to believe they had the goods on the “Biden crime family.” Impeachment proceedings were imminent. Now, they tell us they “will continue pressing for answers to inform legislative solutions to prevent this abuse of power.” In other words, they can’t make a convincing case against Biden, or they want to drag the charade out until Election Day, after which they’ll forget the whole thing.
Let’s face it . . .
House Republicans are weak. Biden would never be convicted in the Senate, but he has deserved to be impeached since early 2021, because—at the instruction of his Obama-installed handlers—he’s been doing everything he can to destroy the country. It’s not due to “incompetence,” as constantly claimed by weak Republican politicians and “conservative” online chatterboxes, and even Donald Trump.
(Apologies to Karoline Leavitt. She’s a Trump campaign spokeswoman and does a very good job with the loose cannon candidate with whom she has to work.)
No, what Biden is doing is not due to incompetence. It’s intentional. Biden took millions of dollars from Ukraine, China, and who knows where else, to enrich himself and his family. He has weaponized the Department of Justice against Donald Trump and everyday conservatives. He has opened the border to criminals, terrorists, Mexican drug cartel operatives bringing fentanyl into the country, and ne’er-do-wells that’ll end up receiving social services on the taxpayers’ dime. He has placed Marxists in senior officer positions within the military. Because the “global warming,” “climate change,” “climate emergency,” “carbon footprint” hoax is a centerpiece of the Marxist, global government, World Economic Forum, C40 Cities, “15-Minute City agenda, Biden is trying to ruin the energy industry. As he has since the early 1990s, Biden is trying to disarm Americans of rifles that are perfectly within the scope of the right to keep and bear arms. The list goes on.
But never mind all of that. Biden said “Mexico” when he meant “Egypt,” and Republicans “will continue pressing for answers . . . .”
